Mark Short is the national sales manager of mortgage warehouse lending for Western Alliance Bank’s Specialized Mortgage Services Group. Based out of the greater Dallas area, Mr. Short serves public and private non-bank mortgage companies in Texas and various national markets that require credit lines to fund consumer real estate loans.

Mr. Short oversees a team of warehouse lending sales officers and sales associates that actively manage mortgage finance and treasury management relationships, including traditional warehouse financing, MSR financing and working capital lines. He also collaborates with the correspondent sales team at AmeriHome Mortgage, a wholly owned subsidiary of Western Alliance Bank.

Before joining Western Alliance in 2020, Mr. Short was senior vice president of the Mortgage Finance Group at Wells Fargo Securities, where he managed warehouse lending clients nationally. He also held several positions at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, including supervising a team of credit analysts as director of global debt products within the mortgage banking division.

He is an active member of the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association.

Mr. Short earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Accounting from Oklahoma State University.

Mark Roberts is the national sales manager for Western Alliance Bank’s Note Finance Group.

A longtime specialist in complex commercial credit, with deep experience in note financing for private real estate lenders, note buyers and non-performing debt funds, he has an expert grasp of the specialized needs of private lenders and their clients. With additional expertise in global markets, international banking, capital formation banking and treasury management solutions, he delivers comprehensive banking solutions to address clients’ diverse financial needs, including foreign exchange, global cash management, hedging and risk management, letters of credit and documentary collections.

Mr. Roberts was previously with our legacy brand, Alliance Bank of Arizona, where he provided cash management and escrow services to mortgage companies and private equity funds.

Based in Raleigh, N.C., he frequently travels to serve East Coast clients of the bank’s Note Finance and Global Markets groups.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics and International Business from Northwood University and graduated with honors from the Pacific Coast Graduate School of Banking.
